Executive Diplomatic Protection is a group of highly skilled professionals who have dedicated their careers to protecting dignitaries, including U.S. Presidents, Senators, and Heads of State. Members of this elite group were trained by the government and perfected their skills throughout their careers. Some were leaders in their field, supervising tactical teams and units, and held positions within the federal government as Team Leaders, Group Supervisors, and Assistant Special Agents in Charge. Others were law enforcement detectives who worked closely with the federal government, deputized as federal officers and specializing in surveillance, intelligence, and investigation.
The group comprises Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Customs and Law Enforcement Detectives deputized as Federal Task Force Officers. They worked collaboratively throughout their careers, each member bringing their unique skill set to the team. Most members had both military and investigative backgrounds, including experience in investigating international terrorism, national gangs, human trafficking, and tracking fugitives. Some were assigned to the Department of State, Dignitary Protection Unit.
Other members oversaw some of the world's most elite federal tactical teams responsible for executing high-risk search warrants, arresting armed fugitives, and protecting VIPs. Intelligence detectives provided support to the tactical teams by providing up-to-date intelligence for making high-risk decisions. Surveillance and counter-surveillance were second nature to all members, as surveillance was a daily part of their investigations, and counter-surveillance was essential during operations to ensure the security of the undercover team and the integrity of the operation.
Some members, including intelligence detectives, had a background in undercover operations and used their skills to investigate and infiltrate known gang and human trafficking organizations. All members trained in firearms proficiency throughout their careers, exceeding minimal firearms requirements four times a year to reach a tactical level of proficiency. Members carried firearms both on and off-duty for more than 20 years.
A small group of members served several overseas deployments in the United States Military, fighting to establish a free nation. These members were embedded in the United States Infantry Unit, and others were part of the elite Rangers Regiment. Their training and commitment to service were unparalleled.
After fulfilling their duty to their nation, country, and state, members left their previous positions with the military or federal or state government to work in the private sector, using their skill set to protect individuals, sports figures, celebrities, dignitaries, and families in need of protection while their significant other is away.
